Tumblr was one of the best things I discovered over the past year. I met so many beautiful, amazing, and friendly people on here. I will miss you. I’ve loved the memories we’ve created but I know it’s in my best interest to step back from it all. I will not be on here for at least a month after tonight, maybe longer, maybe never. Unfortunately, that’s not how it really works. We only have one life. I have a personal saying that I say all the time, but to stay anonymous, ill just rephrase it. The best thing about being alive is having the chance to live. Now my phrase flows much better lol, but its the same concept.
You have to make the best of every moment. This moment only happens one time. Right Now! There is no reason to sit here wishing for this or that if there is something you could do right now to eventually get this or that! If “Fill in the Blank” would make you happy, then you need to pursue that. If there is something you want, do something about it. Put yourself in a position to make your “want” become yours.
Its easier than you think. And life is way too short not to enjoy every moment of it. If you know what you want, what do you have to do to get it? Literally Write it down. Step by step along with goals to achieve each step.
That’s what I am doing. That’s why I am leaving. I know what I want in life, and I know how to get it. The difference between me and person still dreaming is simply executing it. That’s the difference between you and who you want to be too, its a simple matter of taking a step in that direction with a plan and desire.
You are capable of being happy. Being happy and having a great life is a choice that you make, it doesn’t choose for you. It’s a accumulation of your decisions and actions. The world is an amazing place, life is an awesome gift. To be cynical about it all is taking it for granted. There is so much opportunity, so many good people, whatever your idea of happiness is, it’s achievable.
The most disturbing thing on tumblr is all this “self harm”, “eating disorders”, “drug addictions”, just self destructive attitudes.
If you want to change something about yourself do it! There’s no reason to ever be unhappy with who you are. We all have things we would like to change about yourself. Stop focusing on the negative things, stop wishing to change something that cannot be undone. Focus on the good and positive things about you, and I promise you once you accept yourself, others will too.
Self Confidence goes along way. It’s impossible to be loved by someone else when you don’t love yourself. Confidence doesn’t mean perfection, its relying on yourself and the belief that you are capable!
Being optimistic and seeing the good in each passing moments will give you more reasons to smile, more reasons to love life. You will be happier.
But don’t ever get complacent or settle for less. Strive to be the person that you want to be. Do what you can for others when you can do it. The littlest thing to you can mean the world to someone else.
Like I said, Life is too short. Don’t look back with shoulda, coulda, woulda. Spend it smiling, laughing, being around ones that you love and love you. Look for the good in world, in other people and show the best you that you have to offer.
Tumblr sometimes makes me feel like I am this man… LoL.
